Und natürlich poste ich das nicht während ich bei der Arbeit bin. Wie kommt ihr auf die Idee? *hust*
Makoto just wasn’t that kind of guy.
He wasn’t the kind of guy who drunkenly called his best friend at 2am in the morning asking him to fuck him senseless, please. He wasn’t even the kind for drunken make outs with total strangers to forget about the urge to call.
Mostly, he just wasn’t the kind to get completely wasted.
It was a pity, really.
Instead, he was the kind of guy who got up at 5am on a Saturday morning after a night out drinking with his colleagues to make sure his best friend actually got up, ate something else than (just) mackerel for breakfast and arrived on time at the stadium.
„You're a good guy“, Haru's trainer told him before ushering his star swimmer to the changing rooms.
Makoto just smiled.
And if his gaze lingered a bit too long on Haru's broad shoulders, well, who could blame him?
It was an open competition, hosted by the city, and Haru was mostly there for publicity (“Or something. I didn't pay attention.”) but nevertheless, the bleachers were crowded and brimming with excitement. Makoto found a spot at the railing right next to a group of boys in high school tracksuits. He couldn't help the melancholic smile, when the smallest of the boys started jumping up and down and chanting his senpai's name.
Back then...
Well, back in high school, everything had been different. They'd been young and careless. And blissfully oblivious.
Not that Makoto hadn't found his gaze lingering on Haru more often than not back then. Holding his hand and pulling him out of the water had already send shivers down his spine all those years ago. The only difference was that back then, Makoto hadn't realized that it wasn't supposed to feel like this.
His mother liked to tell him (and every relative willing to listen) that Makoto had been a late-bloomer.
Makoto didn't tell her that he'd bloomed disgustingly early, thank you very much, he'd just been too stupid to realize. On the other hand, he was afraid that his mother had figured that out by herself already, judging from the soft smiles and the kind, too-long hugs that usually followed that statement.
So, Makoto was that guy. The guy staring at his best friend from afar, memorizing the way water droplets trickled over lean muscles and how his eyes sparkled in the too bright natatorium lighting.
The guy who everyone, even his own mother, looked at with pity.
His gaze drifted back to the high school boys.
Life had been so much easier then.
But back then, Haru hadn't grinned stupidly after glancing at the times, and turned immediately to the bleachers, searching for someone and waving excitedly when he finally found them.
Makoto really didn't mind being that guy.

Ah, du bist so lieb und wunderbar und !!!! Aber natuerlih wird Haru das checken. Vielleicht. Irgendwie. Ich hatte eigentlich mindestens einen Dreiteiler geplant, aber wie's aussieht, ist das hier schon die Zusammenfassung... Aber, ha, fuer Punkte kann man sich auch selbst kopieren, nicht wahr? *gg*
