“One day, he's going to kill us all!“, Billy said and his eyes sparkled with the same blue light that illuminated the machines. Teddy loved that look – and felt like a total sap thinking that.
“You worry too much.” He was sitting across the room on a cargo box, leaning against the wall, just watching the other man humming under his breath and checking for magic leaks. Yeah, he probably was a huge sap. Pathetic.
Billy shrugged and touched his ear piece. “You do realize the Avenger's not built for a speed like that?”
In his own com unit, Teddy could hear their pilot's response: “That's what we've got you for, right? Just wave your hand and wish for the ship to not fall apart.”
“Slowing down would work, too.”
“But that's boring!” With a crackling noise, Tommy killed the connection.
Gently, Billy's fingers trailed over the engine. “I hate him.”
“I thought you decided, we like him?” Teddy couldn't help but smile. Of course they liked Tommy. If only for his dashing good looks and his even better looking identical twin.
“It's complicated.”
Teddy coughed. “No, it's not. He's a madman, probably a sociopath and he will definitely kill us all, but you love him to pieces. Because he's your brother. And because he's your brother, we don't throw him out the air lock.”
Billy laughed. “When you put it like that, it really does sound easy.”
“That's my super power. Making complicated things easy.”
“And here I was thinking it was inhuman strength and beating people up.”
“That, too. Also, I'm a good kisser, I've been told.”
That made Billy look up from his engine and smile directly at him. “Who says ridiculous stuff like that?”
Teddy slipped off the box and crossed the room in a few steps. It was a small, very crammed engine room, but he liked being here, liked the blue glowing of the magic that ran the machines, the faint smell of oil and the way Billy couldn't help that small smile whenever he was surrounded by his beloved engines. “I know, it's hard to believe...”
“Yeah, it is. I really should test that theory...”
“You really should...”
“Hey you two, stop smooching and look like the bloodthirsty pirates we are!” With an apparently inaudible hiss the door had opened and now Cassie, Teddy's co-worker in the business of heavy lifting and intimidating the shit out of people, stood in the frame. “Jonas has visual of a merchant's ship and Kate wants us to get ready for boarding.”
With a groan, Billy turned out of the almost-kiss they'd shared. “Really? Now?”
“That's our job, Wiccan. Looting and pillaging and stealing. Like evil pirates do.” With that and a bright smile, Cassie was out.
Billy sighed. “You know, I'm pretty sure they have this room bugged. They're interrupting us on purpose.”
“Of course they are.” Teddy pressed a quick kiss on Billy's forehead. “They are evil pirates, remember?”

Teddy-Logik. XDDD Oh mein Gott, die zwei sind so süß. Und ich kann sie mir beim looten und pillagen jetzt nur bedingt vorstellen. Wahrscheinlich tun sie ganz eeeeeevil, aber eigentlich benehmen sie sich wie Robin Hood in Space und klauen nur von fiesen Leuten. XDD

Es ist in der Tat faszinierend. Man sollte das mal untersuchen. Obwohl ich Tommys "Hey, wir retten euch grade!"-Auftritt einfach liebe. *auf Icon deut* Es ist vorher so ein unheimlich schöner, wundertoller Moment, und dann: Tommy. Hatte ich erwähnt, dass ich Tommy liebe? *hust*
Und ich kann sie mir beim looten und pillagen jetzt nur bedingt vorstellen.
Oh Gott, ich auch nicht. So gaaar nicht. Sobald mir einfällt, wie das funktionieren soll, schreib ich hierzu mehr, weil ich meinem Kate-Fangirling noch gar keinen Raum lassen konnte. *hust*
