#2 - Karte 2 / Joker [Phobien]

Challenge: Karte 2, Joker [‚Phobien‘ vom 7. 1. 2011] (für mich)

Characters/Pairing: Blast Off, unnamed OC

Disclaimer: Sadly, nothing is mine.
Note: Fear II just because I already have a YGO fic called “Fear”. *lol* Also, The phobia/fear thing is a characterisation thing, because Blast Off is unable to feel strong emotions such as hate/love/anger/happiness etc until he learns them, or at least gets an understanding of a few of them.
Fear II
It was the missing of light that drowned out even the blackness of the vastness which was space. A contrast to the darkness of the emptiness where no stars were.
Blast Off shuddered, a cold sensation running over his whole frame which wasn’t caused by the temperature outside. It was inside him, spreading, creeping into every part of his body, triggering the inability to move, to power his Thrusters and fly away.
The planet in front of him about 300 million miles away was embraced by the darkness.
It vanished.
His colleague was there, too. Too close…
Blast Off hadn’t wanted to go on this mission with a partner, he liked to work alone. And this had been where all went wrong.
The screams of the other shuttle echoed through the commlink. A mixture of pain and insanity so intense, that swept even though the non-physical connection.
The ice on Blast Off’s wings broke as ailerons quivered, and he powered his thrusters.
It was the moment in which he learnt to feel ‘fear’.

It's ending will probably a bit apocalyptic, sort of, so I don't know it'd be a good idea to put it in an AU. (I can give you a rough summary via mail, if you want to.)
