When he came to me I thought he loved me. With his silly attitude, his little jibes that I thought were endearing, his shyness and modesty, always waiting for me to ask him.

When he left I thought he hated me. It was no other woman, no other love, he left because of me. I hated him for hating me.

But it was the other way around.

And he never loved himself. Until the day he unpacked his clothes in his own apartment, all by himself.
