Challenge: Licht/Schatten (frei interpretiert)
Summary: Colin ruft Bradley an, um mehr zu erfahren.
Kommentar: Also dazu muss man vorher wissen, dass Colin und Bradley vor drei Tagen ein Interview per Konferenzschaltung hatten und dabei gefragt wurden, was sie denn so für Weihnachtstraditionen haben, und Colin hat so das übliche geantwortet, essen, weihnachtsfilme gucken etc. und Bradley hat aber gesagt: "Avoiding my family." darauf baut dieses nun folgende Telefonat auf. Auf Englisch geschrieben, weil ich die zwei nicht so wirklich auf Deutsch schreiben kann.

“Yeah?”
“Hi, it’s… It’s me, Colin.”
“Hey. Forgot to ask a question?”
“Yeah, like you forgot I’m lactose-intolerant.”
“Dude, I didn’t know.”
“You asked me after that quest thing with the ice cream and I told you I don’t like it because I’m lactose-intolerant.”
“…”
“You should get an external hard-drive fitted to your brain.”
“Very funny, Mr. Morgan. So what do you want?”
“um, well, I was, um, wond..wondering how you meant the thing about your family.”
“What thing?”
“The avoid-thing.”
“…”
“I just, I’m not... I don’t think you were joking. It didn’t sound like you were.”
“I was, sort of. Well, not if you’re talking about my extended family. My uncle and aunt are unbearable at the best of times, they become monsters at Christmas. Monster, I tell you, monsters.”
“Sure, monsters.”
“Honestly.”
“…”
“…”
“But you like Christmas, right?”
“I fear I’ll be breaking your heart now, Colin, but no, I don’t actually like it. I’m glad when it’s over.”
“Why?”
“…”
“I mean I know about your father and that must be weird.”
“It’s not really weird.”
“Not?”
“No, not weird, it’s just, what does weird even mean? I mean , what kind of definition is there for weird?”
“…”
“Never mind. It’s nice and all, we eat dinner and exchange presents and do all the Christmas-y stuff that people expect us to do, but…”
“But?”
“It’s not really fun, because it’s so forced. At least in my family it is. It’s not even like we’re fighting, but it’s sad, my mother’s sad, my sister is kind of sad, and that makes me sad too. And it’s… it’s just not really fun.”
“Hm.”
“I can actually hear your heart breaking, Colin.”
“It’s not.. god, you’re making me sound like a…”
“It’s really not that bad, you know. It’s alright. It’s only Christmas.”
“But it’s not only Christmas. It’s Christmas.”
“For you.”
“…”
“Sorry.”
“Hm.”
“God, how do you do that? You got me apologizing for something I didn’t even do.”
“Sorry.”
“Now you’re apologizing.”
“Well, I made you feel bad about yourself.”
“…”
“That sounded better in my head.”
“I’m sure it did.”
“I’m going to hang up now.”
“Okay. Merry Christmas.”
“um, yeah. …”
“I think I can handle a ‘Merry Christmas’, Colin.”
“Right, yes, of course. Merry Christmas, Bradley.”

Ich liebe es wie viel da nur angedeutet ist. <3 Und Dialog-fics find ich sowieso immer spannend.
