"Gwil, I already said the lesson is over! Return your rapier!"

The young man who was scolded like this sighed but finished his current set of repetitions to follow his instructors order. He really enjoyed the fencing lessons his university provided and was glad he decided to take part in them. When he took of his mask and looked around the gym he noticed that most of the other participants had already left so he hurried a bit.

"You were good today. Are you really sure you don't want to compete?"

"You know exactly I don't have time for that, Fynn." Gwil looked down at his instructor who was more than a head smaller than him, or Gwil was too tall with his 1,91 meters. But his height was no reason to belittle Fynn. He was one of the best fencers around. He was a force to be reckoned with and all of the students respected him.

"I know... That doesn't change the fact I'd love to see how far you'd be able to get."

Gwil put his rapier into the box to the others and closed it. Without looking at the other man he said: "I'd love to try myself as well. But I really can't" Not with his studies, his job and his family depending on him.

He took the box and brought it to the locker where the rapiers were stored so that no one could get them unauthorized and get injured.
When he put the box down he felt a hand on his arm and when he turned around, he looked into soft honey brown eyes in a round face framed with brown, short hair. "I'm sorry. I know how busy you are and i shouldn't pressure you. You're here to wind down and not to stress yourself more. Come on. Let's go."

Fynn turned around but this time it was Gwil who held him back. "It's okay. I'm not mad. Not at you." His rich voice was soft and he leaned down to kiss Fynn's forehead and then his lips. It was nothing big, they were still at the university's gym after all and their relationship would be frowned upon. Especially since it was well known that Fynn was in a relationship for years.

Only after they separated from each other they left the gym and Gwil quickly changed from his fencing gear into his street clothes. He hated public changing rooms so he would take aa shower later.

"So, you still up for coming over?" Fynn asked when they met at the gym's entrance.

"Yeah. What do you want to eat?"

"Don't trouble yourself so much with cooking. I don't need much. We can order out as well."

"When was the last time you've eaten a freshly cooked meal? When Arvid left for Boston?"

Fynn looked down. So it was about a week. "I am going to cook. You won't go another day without proper nourishment. I guess you don't have any still edible veggies at home?"

"I don't think so."

"So... groceries first, then home. Let's go, the bus will leave without us."

But before they reached the bus stop, a sleek black car pulled up next to them and the window rolled down.

"Gentlemen, do you need a ride?" the driver asked.

"Arvid! Since when are you back?" Fynn called out excitedly.

"I just arrived and thought I'd pick you up. Hop in I want to get home."

"We need to stop by the grocery store. Gwil wants to cook." Fynn said while he opened the passenge dor and got into the car.

"Gwil needs to cook since Fynn doesn't know how to feed himself," Gwil corrected.

"All right" Arvid said and Gwil had the impression that he didn't particularly enjoy the thought of another task before he could get home, but he couldn't help it, even though he couldn't blame Arvid for being exhausted after his business trip.

"That's not true, Gwil, I've ordered a lasagna on Tuesday."

"It's Friday, honey. So next stop: Grocery store." Arvid started the motor and took them there.

"You two stay here. I'll be quick." Gwil said as he got out of the car. He kept the shopping trip as short as he could: Just the essentials for today's dinner and a dessert. If there was more missing, they could still go again tomorrow.
After only fifteen minutes he was back at the car and as he had already expected he found Fynn and Arvid making out when he opened the back door to store the groceries on the seat and got in himself.
"It's not nice to start the pleasant part oft today without me," he complained in a tone that made it clear he wasn't serious.

"You will get your share of love at home," Arvid winked through the rear mirror and smirked.

"I hope so." Gwil replied an buckled up so that they could finally get home.

"How have things been while I was away?" Arvid asked. "Besides Fynn being unable to properly feed himself?"

"Boring...," Fynn complained "I have two boyfriends and both are busy... Perhaps we need a fourth person..."

Arvid groaned. "Not gonna happen. I love you. Both of you. But that's absolutely enough people for my comfort." He placed his hand on Fynn's thigh for a few seconds before he fully concentrated on driving again. Gwil smiled at that soft gesture. but he also felt som sort of longing inside. he hoped one day he would be able to experience the same kind of intimacy with these two; a kind of intimacy only achieved through time and many years together. Arvid and Fynn knew each other since middle school and Gwil only first met Fynn when he started university and took up fencing one and a half year ago and it was only eight months since he had been invited into his and Arvid's relationship.
He never felt left out or anything, he was slowly finding his place here but everything was still too new, too exciting for the kind of ease Fynn and Arvid radiated.

"You all right back there? You're thinking so loudly again." Fynn's voice called Gwil back to the present, and he took the had Fynn offered him over his shoulder. Sometimes the lively guy was surprisingly perceptive.

"Yeah I'm fine."

"Don't be jealous." Fynn's voice was dead serious.

"What? I'm not jealous! Just..."

"Just?" Arvid shortly looked at hm through the rear mirror.

"I just want things that need time. Can we talk about it at home? The car feels like the wrong place..." He really wanted to be held by his boyfriends when they discussed things concerning their relationship.

The other two shared a short look then Fynn agreed, but he didn't let go of Gwil's hand util they reached home.

Home was the cozy looking house in a well-off neighbourhood which Fynn and Arvid lived in for years. Gwil had always dreamt of living here when he had delivered newspapers as a high school student for his first job, but he never imagined that this dream might become true. It was almost like a miracle that he now spent half the week over here.

When Arvid parked the car in the garage, they got out. Fynn took Arvid's suitcase and Gwil the groceries so that Avid only had to unlock he door and let them into the house.
Gwil wanted to take care of the groceries in the kitchen but when hey were in the hallway, he was held back by Arvid who embraced him. Fynn took the bag with the groceries out of his hand so that he, too could properly welcome Arvid back home.

"It's good to have you here as well," Arvid mumbled against Gwil's shoulder. "I missed you."

"I missed you, too." Gwil replied quietly, his fingers brushing through Arvid's almost shoulder long, almost black hair. His well-kept stubble scratched pleasantly against Gwil's neck when he leaned the few centimeters up to kiss him.

Gwil closed his eyes and melted into the other man's warmth. He loved Arvid's kisses as much as he admired the man himself. He knew by now that Arvid's life had not been easy but still he had kept his kind and caring nature.

"You should rest." He mumbled against Arvid's lips when they separated jut that tiny bit.

"Can't leave everything to you." Arvid's protest sounded as tired as he himself felt in Gwil's arms.

"I know how to cook and Fynn is capable of operating the washing machine. You have done enough today. Rest." Gwil kissed him again while gently leading him to the living room and the large comfortable couch there. "Rest," he repeated. "We've got you."

Arvid looked at him like he wanted to protest again, to Gwil's surprise he laid down. "Call me when dinner's ready," Arvid yawned.

"I will." Gwil took the woollen blanket from the far end of the couch to place it over his exhausted boyfriend and then gently caressed his cheek.

When Gwil entered the kitchen, he found Fynn inspecting the groceries. "Have you brought me something?" he asked curiously.

"I've got us something nice for dessert. Have you started the washing machine, yet?" Gwil asked in return. Sometimes it was hard to believe that Fynn was the oldest of them.

"I have. Need help with cooking?"

"Nah. Take care of the chaos I suppose you left this morning so Arvid doesn't have to scold you when he wakes up."

"You really got him to rest? How?"

"He must be terribly exhausted. He barely protested.

"Poor guy. Let's spoil him tonight." Fynn said as he snuggled against Gwil's back.

"Yeah." Gwil agreed while he rinsed off the vegetables. "But don't forget your dirty socks from yesterday."
This promised to become a nie evening with his two most beloved people.
