A/N: Leo and Frank are bros. Just bros being bros. - No reason for Piper to ruin that with maths of all things.
The thing about being friends with Piper McLean, well, aside from the thing where you got arrested for grand theft auto and then got to watch her talk you both out of any charges, so, aside from that, the thing about being friends with Piper McLean was that she was always right. Always. It was annoying.
„That‘s not a bromance“, she decreed with all the authority of a nineteen-year-old that had never been wrong about love or sex or feelings in general. Leo rolled his eyes.
„Sure it is!“ Because what else could it be? Flawless logic there, Leo had to congratulate himself. „Frank and I, we‘re bros.“
Piper raised one annoyingly perfect eyebrow. „I thought you can‘t stand each other.“
„That was like… two weeks ago. He‘s great. We‘re bros.“
The eyebrow climbed higher and higher, threatening to take flight any second now. Leo grimaced. „You don‘t understand bromance, cause you‘re a girl.“ Debate team material. Top-Notch. Piper was going to rip his balls off but the argumentation itself was flawless.
„And denial ain‘t just a river in Egypt.“
„What?“
The way Piper rolled her eyes was spectacular. „Face it, Leonidas, you‘re crushing on Zhang.“
„First of all, that‘s ridiculous. Second of all, that‘s gay. Third of all, I‘m in love with Hazel.“
She cocked her head. „Well, I‘ll grant you two out of three. Maybe even all three, you‘re weird like that. - I just fail to see what any of that has to do with the fact that you‘re crushing on Zhang?“
„Well.“ Yeah. Well. Leo hadn‘t actually planned to have this discusssion and, as far as he was concerned, ‚I‘m not gay!‘ and ‚I‘m totally into Hazel!‘ were killer arguments. On the other hand, Piper was always right. Which, technically speaking meant she couldn‘t be wrong, could she? „Well.“
„Shall we do the maths? Can‘t argue with maths.“
„It‘s very, very wrong hearing those words out of your mouth. We‘ve argued for literal hours about the Monty Hall problem.“
„Yeah, and I‘m still right! It just doesn‘t--“ She caught herself and Leo liked to think she was a bit impressed with his diversion strategy. „However, that‘s not the question at hand.“
„Which is?“
The eyebrow climbed again. „You and Zhang had sex how many times?“
Leo stared at her indignantly. „I object to this line of questioning!“
„Well, if you‘re just bros… There‘s nothing weird about hooking up with your bro, is there?“
„Of course not.“ Leo felt like he‘d walked into a trap. There was no point in talking to Piper when she was being like this. -- Of course there was nothing wrong with hooking up with a bro. Or a guy that he couldn‘t stand, really. They‘d just had to blow off some steam and if he‘d started to like the guy attached to the mouth blowing him, well, there was nothing weird about that either. Probably.
„So, how many times?“
Now it was Leo‘s turn to raise an eyebrow. „Why? Is there an arbitrary hook up limit for bromance?“
„Oh, absolutely. Five times in two weeks. Or twice when sober. Everything beyond that… Not a bromance.“
„That sounds fake,“ Leo tried to sound confident. But Piper really knew him too well, he hated arguing with numbers, numbers where supposed to make sense.
„Nope, that‘s science.“ Piper grinned triumphantly. Of course, she‘d never been wrong about stuff like that. „We can ask Jason and Percy, if you don‘t believe me.“
Leo sighed heavily. „No. No, that won‘t be necessary…“ Especially because he really, really didn‘t want to know how many times Jason and Percy fucked in a fortnight. Or whether they did at all, because… urgh.
„Okay, just for the sake of argument, let‘s assume you‘re right for a second… Is there such a thing as bros with benefits?“
