Team: Ravenclaw
Challenge: Romantik/Intimität - "Schnell, küss mich!" (fürs Team)
Fandom: Heroes of Olympus
Pairing: Will Solace/Nico di Angelo
Warnung: character death, angsty, English
A/N: Oh guckt mal, eine Pause vom Romcom-Fluff!
Will Solace was not a fighter. Never had been, never would be.
It hadn't stopped him in the battle of Manhattan. Hadn't stopped him from attacking the Romans either. Certainly hadn't stopped him when the chimera charged and Nico could barely hold onto his sword anymore.
Will Solace was a healer.
His hands were covered in golden dust and dark blood as he methodolically applied pressure to the gaping abdominal wound. He was smiling, calmly, confidently. Nico knew that smile. It was Will's "He's not gonna make it" smile.
Will Solace was kind and caring and stubidly, stubbornly positive.
"It's okay," he said. "It's good. Calm down." Nico couldn't calm down. He knew Will's medical assessment of the situation was right, he could feel death creeping closer, and for the first time in years, it had him panicking. "It's okay, Nico." Only, it wasn't.
Will Solace wasn't supposed to be dying like this.
"Stop it! We'll get you out of here. Just tell me what to do!"
Will smiled, but it was thin and he was obviously in pain. "Kiss me," he said.
"Be serious, what can I do?"
It was probably supposed to be a chuckle, but it came out more like a gargling sound. "You can kiss me." Nico wanted to protest, tell him how profoundly stupid he was being, but Will continued already: "And you better do it fast..."
Will Solace died the way most demigods do: Heroically, tragically, sword in hand and entirely too young. But unlike most demigods he wasn't alone.
